Ch-ch-ch changes
- by LeslieBrooke
One thing is certain in life. That one thing is that everything will eventually change. I was becoming comfortable in the way things were going, and that’s when it happened. My husband resigned from his, well paying, stable, government job of five years. This was not a surprise, we had talked for months, if not longer, about the possible options of his escape from the municipal government prison. You see, government in general is usually corrupt just under the surface. Local government is no different. We realized this early on in his job, but it didn’t affect us personally on a great level…yet. Things of corrupt origin continued to grow, and become a larger presence in our lives. It began to affect stress levels, blood pressure, and that wonderful ability to restrain the harsh-but-true words that he constantly wanted to speak to all those involved. More recently it was realized, but possibly known all along, that one guy with one voice wasn’t enough to break through the bull. Unfortunately, all those on-lookers that stood against corrupt practices were unwilling to join the fight. He would not put up with it any longer. That one guy, in the pursuit of Christ-like character, high moral standards, and impeccable values, tendered his resignation. Ready-or-not, here comes change.
New year, new opportunities! His last day at work is December 29, 2006. So officially, January 1, 2007 is the first official day of the new year, and the first official day of our new life! We’ve been exploring for a month or so, and it’s official that he will begin his new career in e-business. My guy is pretty adept at all things computer, and he’s extrememly business minded. He’s been researching all the ins and outs of the web business, and we have decided that it is a business worthy of tackling. And so it begins…
I will share with you all soon the specifics, but for now things are quickly taking off and will soon be ready to fly. I have complete faith that this new venture will be wholly successful. We will put our all into making it just that!
Until next time…
